Thanks for the reply..the money will not be exactly from a house sale but will be from my ex buying me out of my share of the house..I didn't want to muddy the waters regarding that situation....

So I've been doing some research into the Tier 5 youth working visa and Jen certainly meets all of the criteria so that is brilliant.

Thank you kindly for those links...I will definitely read into those. Our plan would be to settle in the UK but it would make sense to have the opportunity to come back if we ever needed to.

Thank you for the reply, and yes I had seen about the ancestry option but unfortunately its Jen's great grandparents that were British so that will not work.
