Had hoped to be in the October, however Vetassess have moved the dates and we are on holiday. So will have to wait for the next dates early 2009.

We are at the early stages of the process and haven't told anyone yet, mainly because I am a pessimist and don't want to tempt fate. OH has to go thru the VETASSESS so think we will tell people...

We are the same, never been and in the early stages ie just appointed the agent (emailed signed paperwork yesterday).

We have not been, but are doing loadsa research.

Not sure why you need to be forearmed before going to an agent, reputible ones will give you advise before you start. I had to send my OH CV for them to look at, so they could give me advise on...

My OH took his appretiship when C&G were the only quals around (well before NVQ's). We sent his CV to our agent who said they were fine.

Have been looking at agents and had Go Matilda recommended by a few people. They have quoted me $1980 for VETASSESS and $1800 for 175 visa if our case is straight forward plus DIAC/VETASSESS fees.

Another dumb question by me. But just want to check hubby is time served qualified bricklayer. Do we get skills assessed by VETASSESS and not TRA.
