Anyone with a recent experience at this consulate? Just curious about the processing times... I understand...

Your calculation is incorrect.
The ATO publishes a gazetted minimum salary threshold by occupation.
From memomy, it is around $55k (higher if you work in IT). That's the minimum taxable income...

State sponsored applicants are still given high processing priorities (in fact, higher than the applicants on the CSL), so there is no issue.

If you have been pre-granted a State Sponsored 176, you should be safe no?
I think George's comments are referring to applicants that were on the CSL at time of pre-grant and have now been taken off.

I really have the feeling that DIAC is taking more and more time between CO allocation and visa grant, and even between CO allocated - all docs marked 'met' and visa grant...

All the original are in French.
A NAATI translator has translated one of them.

yep, you're right, I'm a 457 visa holder (and may loose it), so State sponsorship was the only option (I am not on the CSL)

unfortunately, with current legislation and guidelines, 457 applicants don't receive any priority processing over off-shore applicants...

bear in mind that there is no quota for 176 visas (it could be well above 9500)... there is just one for the 175/176 visas taken into consideration together... so I guess there will be an increase in...
