Hi, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately we have to sell the house to fund the move. 180k is left after the move. What is the interest rate given by oz banks?

We had a police officer certify all of our documents. As far as I am aware, a teacher can't certify documents but can certify passport pictures.

It all depends where you live / lived in the uk. We live in the south east about 25min drive from london, and £190,000 will just about buy you a 2 bed flat.

We aren't there yet, and the way the Oz Government keep moving the goal posts i'm not sure if we will ever get the chance to get there.
I reckon all the people enjoying the Oz life are out there...

TRA stated most cases should have had a decision within 30 working days.
Ours took 46 working days in the end.

We put our application for 176 in, on the 23rd April 2010.
Our agent reckons we could be in for a 2-3 Year wait. :(:(

All those saying they have to upload docs etc, I presume you are...

Not sure about doing it on line. I used a trade skills company that did all the submitting so I dont have a clue as to how they proceed.

yes all copies have to be certified and sent as paper copies via post.
I used a skills assessment company who dealt with the submitting side of things.

I just spoke to my agent, and yes processing time is likely to take in excess of 2 years. :ohmy:

At least it might give the £ time to pick up.:blink:

We got our assessment approval today. YEAH !!! :D ours took 46 working days for those wondering how long they take.

I Think that as it is you would not be able to migrate to Oz.
You need to have been working full time for at least 12 months in the profession you migrate on.

Did you receive a letter through the post or an email?
Also do you know whether the TRA website was updated with your result? I tried to log in from another pc and got the password wrong a few times...
