Small flat for rent needed in Tavira area

Looking to rent a small apartment for 6+ months, fully furnished, clean & smart, just for light ad-hoc use for guests. We're residents here, but need a local place for additional friends to use....

Child safety in pool - wristband ?

Hi,
Anyone know where in Algarve we can buy:

"...a wristband for children that sets off alarm if comes in contact with water.." ??

Can find them in USA, but not so easy in UK. Would be great...

Yep, that is what we feared - so temporarily we'll empty the prawns bin in Pingo Doce, and raid the fish counter. But really, the local market has best atmosphere, just a shame they price against...

Tavira fish market prices !?

We've noticed in last week or two a dramatic rise in prices of fish at the local market. Any clue why ? Maybe a 20-30% hike on all popular fish we normally buy for ourselves.

Argentina in 2001 the govt. issued what was called a "corralito" (spanish for "little corral") which didn't allow citizens to access their accounts except for small withdrawals....

We visited "El Choco", and can report very nice lunch ! Opened at 13:00, and we had fried Anchovies (shared between 2) for starter, and double helping of Paella for main...

Car Road Tax :frown: They set the tax on the premise, that the car is a fresh registration and therefore 'New', and if a big engine (even a fuel efficient diesel), ours is ..... wait for it, EUR 550...
