Hi Ayamonte CLub !

We visited "El Choco", and can report very nice lunch ! Opened at 13:00, and we had fried Anchovies (shared between 2) for starter, and double helping of Paella for main between us. Good selection of fish, more choice than in Tavira area we thought, and prices were maybe +20% than Portugal, but perfectly acceptable.

Afterwards went for a spin to Isla Cristina.....ugg ! Not nice, didn't stop.

Then on way home, refuelled the 'beast' with nice cheap 95 octane (-20% on Portugal prices !), and popped into Costa Esuri to see what was there.

Next trip, will try another restaurant, to create a selection for us or visitors.

Are there any interesting places to easily visit around Ayamonte ? Sort of easy add-ons to a trip.

Cheers, from hills of Tavira !

Still the Portuguese side - try Alcoutim It has great views of the river Guadiana and Sanlucar opposite - also it's own river beach which is fun.
