Not being funny but if you don't give 6 wks notice to work what realistically is going to happen? You are leaving the country to start in a new job. Its obviously not nice to give a shorter notice...

Your child your choice. Personally I wouldn't want to risk my child having a serious head injury in the middle of a flight because I let them play on the floor and the plane hit severe turbulence....
