We live in Riverstone Terrace, Upper Hutt which is a great suburb. When we moved over we bought our first house on Riverstone and loved it so much we had one built there.

Modern houses are built to better standards. Ours is 18 months old, is insulated, has double glazing and is lovely and warm with the gas central heating going as it is at the moment.

Not sure exactly but either they have a licence to access the data or....... they obtain them from the registrars website and charge a premium.

When we needed copies for NZIS I ordered them on line. Just use Google. There are private companies that issue copies but I used the Registrars website as they were cheaper.

You are right bad time to transfer. When I moved mine over the exchange rate was around $2.75 to the pound.

I had two pension schemes in the UK. One was a local government one (did not have enough years to be based on final salary) and the other a company one with Standard Life.

Sticking with the change of subject we had gas warm air central heating fitted in our last house. Thermostatically controlled and timed so the house (and I mean the whole house) was roasty toasty...

We are just having a house built which is nearly finished so we will be moved in for Christmas.

Platinum Homes are doing the build for us and the price is per square metre is $1,600....

I can recommend Carol Garrett. Her website is www.ukpension.co.nz

She did exactly what she said she would do and her charge was very reasonable, which was taken out of the comission she received...
