Looking at that link, there doesn't seem to be much in it salary wise, although anectdotally we have been told he will earn more. Also with taxes and more choice in consumer goods we are expecting...

I wasn't sure if I'd get any replies as I think you view things slightly differently when you are coming from NZ. I guess its a bit more like moving to Spain from the UK.
