Have just had another reply
this one from a Spa who are saying that Spa and beauty are not regulated in Onterio and that my qualifications would be looked at by the bigger companies

sorry just been emailing some Spa's and have even contacted the CMTO who have advised that I may have to re do or at least get the eqivelent qualifications once im over.

Am going to call one...

only problem that i have is that i am a mature student and have looked at the site above and appears to be for younger students.

Still not sure whether my new course is worth doing......

Also, are you aware that beauty therapy is a licensed trade in Canada? I believe you have to retrain and maybe even do your Red Seal to practice it there, but will have a search of the forums...

Hi i have just completed a VCTC level 2 NVQ in facial massage and am about to take on a Spa course in sept VCTC level 3 NVQ

Are these a recognised qualification in Canada (Toronto) ?

we did not pay the £95 and our file was in NZ we also didn't pay to have it couriered back to UK.
Yes i t will be delivered by DHL tomorrow. Yipee.....................

Hi have had the same letter and made the phone call to a Ms Jarvinen who told me that it would cost £95 just to look at the forms and then that it would cost over £1000 to proceed.

We are going to Toronto in April for a 2 weeks, looking at areas, jobs, schools etc and like the post earlier are not sure where to stay or where not to stay...:confused:
