Default Toronto where to stay?

We are going to Toronto in April for a 2 weeks, looking at areas, jobs, schools etc and like the post earlier are not sure where to stay or where not to stay...
We are a family of 5 so hotels and B&Bs are going to be expensive.
HELP
Thanks

Hi Lozy92, We are a family of 5 just back from Toronto (Moving out Jan 08), we stayed in Mississagua but spent most of our time in Oakville and Burlington, a decent hotel will set you back a bit but with 3 kids it will be diffficult to get a cheaper B&B. We toured pretty extensively around the area from Barrie in the North to Niagra in the South East and we found Burlington, Oakville and Hamilton areas to suit us and the kids. Schools seemed good and so were the local amenities, employment opps looked good too, worth a look i'm sure. But just our opinion..good luck to you.

You might well be better off looking for a short-term rental. You'd also save some by being able to do your own cooking.

Some hotels offer 2 beds and a lounge/kitchen...perfect for families especially if you want to do some cooking. Marriott Residence Inns is one...there are several of these types of hotels. Perhaps someone who lives in the area can come up with some names.
