It gets worse when you see things stamped (for example Bisto) £1.05 and you pay over $4 plus tax. Robinson's squash is $4.79 but it is a must have for me.

Here is our timeline..

Our file was acknowledged November 2010.
Processing started October 2011.
File was transferred to the Winnipeg office December 2011.
Citizenship test October 2012 - 2...

I emailed the careline and got a reply back within 24 hours. I thought that as it wasn't my passport in question, they wouldn't tell me anything.

The passport has been sat at the local DHL depot...

No, just filled in forms, name, DOB, address etc. Saw Doctor/Dentist, got sorted, paid and left.
Have kept the records just in case they ask for them at a later date.

Had to show our Manitoba...

Can't help with schools, sorry (no kids). Brought over our dental and doctor's records but when registering were told they weren't needed.:confused:

What I have found to be more in Canada are:-

Electricity - more expensive here than in UK
Car Insurance - more than 3x the cost of UK
Being out in the sticks meant we didn't have a lot of choice...
