I've lived in a war zone as a kid too. Seen some pretty horrible things. We used to think guns and bombs were 'cool' and didn't really realise it...

I can't speak about the Gulf specifically as I haven't lived there, but with regards to black people and Asians where I am, and in the M.E countries I've been in, yes there is a lot of racism,...
