I mailed a signed letter stating that i wished to withdraw my 175 application which also included all the details as you mentioned previously.

Your application will not be withdrawn until a CO has been assigned to your visa and you will not get a refund.

I applied for a 175 visa in march 2009 (Carpenter/Joiner) and only got a CO about 4 weeks ago so just hang in there and you'll get one soon.

i came in on an evisitor visa and got married and applied for the spouse visa. It automatically put me onto a bridging visa until the spouse visa was granted :D

got married mid january 2010.
