Default re apply for a 176 state sponsored ??

I applied for a 175 visa in june 2009 with a view of moving to WA. After submitting my application on line the diac confirmed it had been recieved and that it was being processed. Two years on and nothing, not even a CO allocated. Would it be a good idea to re apply for a WA SS 176 visa instead.
Any help or advice would be so much appreciated

You do not need to re apply for a new application. Since you have lodged your application before July 2010 you are able to seek sponsorship from a state and change your visa subclass to 176.

apply to WA for state sponsorship just like you would do if you were applying for a 176 then if it's approved you send the sponsorship info to DIAC; WA will send their part. Your application is then converted to 176.

I applied for a 175 visa in march 2009 (Carpenter/Joiner) and only got a CO about 4 weeks ago so just hang in there and you'll get one soon.

Good luck with it all!
