Just tried this but it did not make much difference. .ca site quoted me $2027 for 2 adults, one toddler and one under 2 for a round trip to London from Ottawa. Phoning UK got me 1265 pounds.........

Don't worry about the visa, if you have just landed you will not have your PR card for weeks! Without it you can fly to the US but the carrier has the right to deny you on the flight back to Canada. ...
