Permanent Residency Cards
Hi just a question does any body know how long it takes for your permanent residency cards to come through, we vaguely remember being told 2 weeks but they still haven't come through and we landed 1 August 2010 in Calgary. Any help much appreciated. Jonathan and Dawn.

We landed in Vancouver the day before, 31st July, and we haven't got ours yet. Fingers crossed it won't be long. It's just one more stressful moment in the immigration process!!

we had ours in march and it took 8 wks, a friend just had hers and it took 6 weeks

I landed on the 12th August, needless to say nothing, when I checked it said 42 days now up to 49....

Landed 12th Aug, PR Card arrived today -so 39 working days. The website was stating 42 at the time I landed so pretty close! On the down side my Wife and daughter landed 2 weeks later and we got two letters rejecting both sets photos, which were both taken in Canada (one at Henerys and one at Superstore Photo Studio) using the guidelines provided. When they landed they checked the photos very carefully and said they were ok! (an neither of them wear glasses)
So instead of rolling the dice with the teenager in henerys again, going to do a trip to downtown Ottawa and get them to take the damm photos.
I am pretty tired of the passport photo taking and hope we have at least 2 years before doing any more!
On another note, hoped to bypass the PR card for travel to US and applied for a Nexus, got approved only to find a 2 month wait at Ottawa airport for the damm interview!

We landed 26th June in Vancovuer
Husband and daughters card arrived on the 20th August. Mine arrived on the 2nd October...go figure.
