Little way away from us we are about 30 mins from toronto... nice .... close enough to go out at night if we want... but far enough away to have a nice garden and quiet evenings too.... we love it......

HRSDC or something like that is the human resources department of canada or some such thing.... basically your job goes to them and they say that they can't fill the job with a...

The whole process is confusing, immigration states you must have a job to get HRDSC approval and a work permit, but you need registration to gain job!!!

I must have gone mental about 50,000 times...

Hi Karen,
I got job first then started the whole HRDSC thing going then got my exam passed, registration didn't happen til i got here as you have to have a police check in Canada - crazy as I had...

OUr medicals were in May and recieved probably the 10th of may.... something like that.... not long now........ best of luck!!!

We sent ours off on 3rd July.... just got them friday am.... i predict they will be there in am monday.......or maybe tuesday.... remember no post on saturdays here ;)

Hi Karen,
I am in Oakville which is a little hospital so I would advise you to go bigger if that is what you know - I came here and have found it slightly backward because it is so small, the larger...

I agree this is what we did and we received our visas this am after 1 year... so stick with it it will all be worth it - and faster too!!!

Hi there,
we applied for permanent residence via the skilled worker route in July '06 ( i am a nurse) I had a job secured with a hospital, they got all the HRDSC requirements and I got LMO,...

We moved to Oakville in December and we had no idea of the area either... the town is pretty and seems to have a nice community to it, there are people on here and who live here who say that it is...

Working friday, saturday and sunday 7.30-7.30 then off monday so
copious amounts of beer/wine/martini etc sunday night, watch the fireworks in Bronte harbour sunday night, with Jazz bands etc then...

I also really feel for you too, we put our house on the market in 2004.... for 220,000 we spent the next 2 YEARS trying to sell it de-cluttering to the point where we had virtually nothing in it and...
