We applied before the 1st and therefore are still able to gain the extra 5 points.
Our case officer has already asked for it and we have until mid october to pay it.

YES
both your medicals and police checks are valid for ONE YEAR.
If like us time is running out on our police checks you can apply for fresh ones and send them in.

-Had our medicals at the end of July.
-Middle son was found to have protein in his urine (fairly common)

We had our xrays at City Hospital in St. Albans @ £60 each (2x adults and 1x 14yr old and 1x 12 yr old)
Then the medicals were at The Lodge and Highfield Surgeries in St Albans 01727 853107...
