if it was illegal why would a multi billion dollar company such as bunnings not only sell me the plugs but also tell me it was 100% legal for me to do this.

in victoria it is not a legal requirement - it was just me not checking stuff.
all i did was change a plug!

maybe the plug police from queensland will throw me into jail then...;)

thanks guys - after checking the socket, i took the plugs off and totally recabled them and now all works.....must have been doing something stupid!!

but it's well expensive!

we are about to buy some land and a house.
which way (north, south, west, east) etc should we be looking at our garden facing?

dont want it to be too hot...but want it to get the light...

Indeed correct. However, I knew i had no cable and i knew ADSL 2+ was definately unavailable. Wireless was way to expensive.

Whirlpool.net.au was the first place i started looking - but again...
