Hi JaJ, I'm assuming then from yours and Jim's reply,I should be able to walk though customs on our passports with little trouble, becuase in theory we still have four years left to fulfill the 1000...

My family landed last year April in Toronto Pearsons 2008, during the first few weeks our house in the UK then fell through, so we really did'nt know what to do, so returned to the UK on our return...

You'll probably be fine so dont worry, its just one of those things for the sake of clarity and an immigration officer having a bad day that make it worth while having the correct documentation.

I think it's a pack and go jobby on your UK passport, and simply apply for SIN, Health Card etc after arrival. Its painless for you, I'd imagine a lot of people will read your post and think lucky...

I dont think you'll find out to much about it as it's more so a Canadian thing. I think a lot of people get confused with residency and custody order when dealing with situations like these.

It's a court jobby for clarity or a notarised document and proof that you have sole custody and that ex has played no part financially or parentally for ex amount of time etc.

Go to court and get a court order also if he is behind on support payments then use that to your advantage.
