The economy is based on 2 incomes now.

If you only have 1 due to laziness don't expect sympathy if you're doing it tough.

Boo hoo, you couldn't go for...

Actually anyone who works in the car industry here is usually a sleaze ball that can't be trusted.

Real Estate Agents are just as bad. Scum...

Re: Can we afford it

Each country has it's pitfalls. In Australia it's the Health system and poor public transport. The tall poppy syndrome is also another downer.

Re: Can we afford it

In Australia the uglier you are the more you will be accepted. You're not a threat.

Having less money and a crap job also helps.

There's an old saying here - most aussies like their mates to...

Re: Can we afford it

I don't watch those shows.

I know first hand how bad the health care system is in this country. The public transport system is the same - one big Joke!

And don't get me started on the lazy...

Re: Can we afford it

Re: Can we afford it

I'm not trying to worry you, but you probably have bigger concerns than living expenses. That is the poor state of hospitals in this country - it's in crisis. I assume from your nickname that you're...

I'm assuming if they had capital they would have said so. Most english I come across love boasting about money (if they have it).

Re: Can we afford it

Most people don't have the luxury of a small mortgage these days. Especially those in Perth. Perth RE prices are now up there with Sydney.

I was having a surf of youtube yesterday and came across an old ALI G interview of Becks and Posh. For those who haven't seen it, it's worth a watch, funniest thing I've seen for a while....
