the logmein app on my iphone is fantastic, uses a local number to call so that means it is included in my phone plan. i think they also charge 1c a minute

Depends who you are working for there, if it with Chevron then you will more likely be on a good rosta of say 2-2-2-4, but if it is a contractor then I have seen some real crap rosters like 5-1.

Yes the shopping centre is scary but you can't say all Morayfield is bogan. Excelsior Park is beautiful, huge blocks and some with huge price tags.
