Ray you could justas well be describing Croatia. All the former countries of Yugoslvia suffer the same problems. Weapons are endemic throughout the entire region.

Hiya tran333. you could try taking a look at the "Energoprojekt" website (the largest construction company in Serbia). they are building a lot of apartments + villa's in Herceg Novi at the moment...

It's been a long time since i visited Split, but i visited Dubrovnik a couple of years ago. it's a beautiful city. i wouldn't like to go to Kosovo at the moment though as it's so unstable.

as for flights and car hire, i fly with croatia airlines - cheap and good service. i hire my cars through europcar. i've found them to be the cheapest...

my land is some distance away from where you are - opposite ends of the country. any agents will be based in the town centre, but my advice would be to speak to the locals - literally...
