If you are in Tavira why dont you take the train or drive to Vila Real st Antonio - its a short journey either way and you can hop on a little ferry for a few euros and get to Ayemonte [spain]...

To be honest I absolutely love Tavira but I think you get better value for money in Central also it's too hot for the other half during summer in the algarve :rolleyes:

from Faro to Tavira you can get a transfer with resorthoppa.com for about 15.00 euro's both ways depending on time of year - I've used them twice now and they are very reliable
