Yes, the 'I'm doing it all for you and the kids' wears a bit thin, especially as the long hours and demanding job means he is too knackered or doesn't expect to have to do his share with the kids!

Yes, very true, life is what you make it.

It was the change from planning to be home next spring to having another 3 years (plus the age thing) which did it a bit for me.

Thanks, Jemima. Nice to feel I am not being too unreasonable.

I think I will stay here year 1, split my time year 2 and stay in UK except for hols here year 3. So it doesn't sound so bad like that.
