Re: Advance Parole Sad and Good news.

Kath, I'm so sorry.
I spent 18 months going through the I-601 waiver process (in country). My mum passed away February 21st. On March 20th, I received the news that I was approved as a permanent...

Re: N-400 delay in Santa Ana, CA

Darn!
1-2 years after application for naturalization in Santa Ana. Ah well, can't apply for 5 years anyway, so what's another 2?

Re: Approved!

I think it was more luck than a job well done. We never had any real severe hardships other than my husband owning his own business - nothing medical, no kids. I seriously did not expect an approval...

Re: Approved!

It was filed after the I-485. My lawyer was a bit of a dildo and didn't tell me I would be facing that. Gah!

Re: Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill To Be Introduced In House Tomorrow

That's what I've been led to understand through everything I've read, but I've been in the (I-601) process 4 months with no end in sight and am genuinely curious to know how it could affect me if I...

Re: Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill To Be Introduced In House Tomorrow

Hi Carl,

I've read a lot about the CIR bill, would it affect people from other countries other than Mexico? Everything I've read/heard about seems to affect illegal Mexicans (please, no offense...

Re: Renewal EAD...

Utterly serious! My SS card has the "valid only with DHS authorization on it", and as I start a new job next week I've dug out the EAD from the safe.

Also - I think one of the reasons it's so...

Re: US Embassy, London wait times?

Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. You will just have to hang in there and probably have to miss the wedding.

Re: Request guidance on "5 year ban to US" situation.

First of all, you need to talk with a good immigration lawyer. As much as the members on this board know a whole bunch of stuff, the majority of us are laymen and what you're going through is beyond...

Re: Can Spousal Support/Alimony Be Included on the I-864?

OK, I don't know if this helps and I'm sure I may get shot down here, but, as a rule (not specifically USCIS - I work with Section 42 and have gained some insight into how Federal income works) the...

Re: No NOA after D.O.R.A

Well the original post didn't read anything like that, which is why I was asking - and the proof I asked about was on the end of the original post and somewhat ambiguous in context.

Re: Request for evidence

Funny, I don't recall posting that on here. Nobody on this site gives a toss about waivers anyway. Second of all, that was me asking people to stop telling me that bullshit (which I have had in so...

Re: Who's Working over X-mas?

I'm working Christmas Eve in my local - woohoo for the tips! :D

My real job we get out at 1pm tomorrow, and don't go back until Tuesday. My boss is out the entire week next week, which means I'll...

Re: Purposely delay biometrics for I-751?

From what I read yesterday (on the publicly available pages if you trawl to hell and back for it) on the USCIS website, you can ask to reschedule an appointment. The USCIS officer will then look at...
