I was living in California from 91 so the first one I felt was the Landers quake in April 92, that was a rolling one. Then there was a Pasadena/Sierra Madre one, I tried to run outside as my daughter...

Exactly, I didnt know when I left that I could have applied for a 2 year waiver that would have protected my Green Card status....only found that out after Id left and once you leave you cant apply....
