I can't speak for QLD as OH is plumber in SA and there is not much work about here unless you've got a workers/contractors licence. With a provisional licence you can expect to be paid about $24 p/h...

I know penalties sound negative - but in reality they are positive things - such as shift allowances and extra weekend rates etc. Get used to it the Aussies are culturally different to the UK.

when you get to oz you have to take more exams as yours wont be accepted , as i have done a formal apprenticeship and i still have to do new exams to meet oz standerds
