I was lucky enough to have my PR granted and my passport returned to me in May. I was due to travel out in Sept to 'activate' my PR but now my passport has been destroyed in a fire.:eek:

Zoom Embargo on Snub Nosed Dogs

Apparently Zoom are no longer taking certain breeds of dogs for transportation which have 'snub noses' such as Boxers, Bulldogs and those little snuffly type dogs.

Not sure if this is a long term...

I haven't heard on this forum of any death or near death disasters. Our famil friend flew out a very old dog and she was fine.

Its probably the owners that stress more than the dogs from...

What size and make of container do you have? A German Pointer is probably similar to a Dobermann in height and size. I have a Varikennel XL 40x 27x30 is yours a similar size?

Bottle? Our crate has 2 little crappie plastic dishes:blink:, I hope they will suffice.

Yes it does come in 2 halves. I have painstakingly screwed it all together but taking it apart again sounds like a plan.

I think Ellie is abit claustrophobic so that might help as well.

Thanks I hadn't thought about 'natural' calmers, I guess things like 'Rescue Remedy' might help as well.

On Westjets website they say they have the right to refuse to fly "unruly" dogs, so just be careful and check with the airline you are flying with.

Just wondered if anyone had ever had problems flying a pet over on the basis of their behaviour?

The fitness to fly certificate should be fine but could they reject a dog if they think it is...
