Hi Ladymoose,
I'd guess you'd be ok with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel from the 'nose point of view - a King Charles Spaniel would be classed as 'snub-nosed'.
My late Grandmother was a great fan of Cavs, she had 7 over time - they make great companions.

Here's a pic of mine although it's difficult to see her properly being as she is black and tan.
