If you can't afford to live apart then you really need to think about biting the bullet and dropping the price of your house to a level it will sell quickly. It's not nice, I know, but sometimes you have to take what you can and move on.
Oh if only life were that easy. Even if you sell the house for 10% of what you want it to go at you still have to run the chain shit. Ours has failed 3 times now even though our buyers are still in place and waiting to buy it. Selling is half the problem, having a chain of 3 or 4 houses under you is crap.

They have advised people that we have taken it off the market :curse:

Hey hey just done the viewing, lets hope they are happy and make us a good offer now

Good luck everyone on the house sale side, i think ill turn o for help

Point taken. I am getting used to the Canadian way where it is all done and dusted in a few days.

However, it can still be an effective strategy. In a falling market there is much more incentive for a buyer to string out the process in the hope of finding somewhere cheaper before exchanging contracts. If you are offering your house at a bargain price you might be able to negotiate a better deal in other respects: a non-refundable deposit, or a rapid exchange (it can be done if everyone wants it to happen).
