Ask Arkon if the portable he bought is any good but the one I have here isnt at all good except to cool yourself off sitting directly...

Theyre not very good, but if the reason why a fixed unit isnt an option is that youre in a rental, why not get a window unit ?

google earth threads been done over and over. Tis quite a good tool if you want to see a place and it has high resolution pics, otherwise best view is 10's of thousand feet

VCR's are a bit old now but oz is also PAL, arent you bringing your uk vcr ?
As for a scart socket on an oz vcr, scart didnt catch on as quick as in uk so Id take a guess and say the best or usual...

Dont have any link to the story but i remember from my flight training days that a spilt coffee has actually caused a 747 to crash, resulting in boeing having to make modifications since the pilots...

I suppose if the sat nav has audio it would do fine on the passenger seat or in the back for audio directions.
