I did the 136.

it took me 2 months to get the rpl (recognition of prior learning) done, sent it in Jan 05. passed mar 05.

got QLD to sponsor me. sent it July 05 and accepted July 05 (10 days)...

Just to give you some sort of timescale'

I had my medical on 2nd November and the visa was accepted on 30th November, so hopfully not long to wait now.

I would add that my agents never told...

Just thought i would drop a quick note to the Expats and tell them I will be joining them soon. Are visa's took a bit longer to come than expected, but I dont think the agents helped....

when I phoned and checked they said that if the Visa was a permanent visa then they would double the allowance. If it is a temp visa (even thought mine is 3 years) they I only get the normal...
