If you don’t need the money at a specific time you can set a rate to exchange. Sometimes that can be in the middle of the night. Not sure if you can do this with wise though.

Your pension will be taxed in Australia and it will be taxed when you get it, even if it stays in a uk bank. If you intend to stay you need to inform HMRC you are no longer resident.

I don’t know areas astound Perth that well or even if they have big eagles! Here people have large outdoor areas covered with mesh to keep cats in (they are not allowed to roam in many areas)...

If you mean to enter the uk then I think you now need a valid British passport. You cannot get a visa if you are a citizen. Just like it now is for Canada and Australia.
