Default Exchange Rate Nosedive

Moving over in a few weeks and I’m wincing every time I check the exchange rate. I was hoping to transfer £70k and at the beginning of the year I would’ve been getting approx $139k. Now it’s down at $133k!

Other than using Wise, dos anyone have any other tips for maximising my money? Cheers!

If you don’t need the money at a specific time you can set a rate to exchange. Sometimes that can be in the middle of the night. Not sure if you can do this with wise though.

Galling to see it drop from a high, but still worth remembering you're comfortably above the 10 year average, so unless the plummet continues you won't be doing badly in a historical context.
