Yes, the current value and the value at the time of becoming residents are both required for the transfer

My wife and I are currently in the process of transferring our respective UK pensions over to Australia.

As we have been over here for 6 years, we are required to provide the transfer value...

Before issuing "legal" advice on an internet forum, you may wish to consider that laws often differ from one place to another, even within the same country.
Make sure you actually know the law...

The only paranoia I've seen in this thread, comes from those who seem to think that speaking with police when doing nothing wrong is some how going to incriminate them, or lead to them being entered...

Anyone who is doing something suspicious..........yes obviously, I think it's been explained why taking photos of a police station could be construed as suspicious until confirmed otherwise.
