A very difficult one to answer, totally depends on where you want to
live and your lifestyle. I don't live in or near any city but I'd say
$45,000 doesn't sound a lot for the likes of Sydney,...

Thanks for the offers of help, here's what I did -

I "removed" some old programs which removed the shlwapi.dll
so IE failed, I downloaded a shlwapi.dll file from the net placed
it in my search...
