Thanks. I've used cityhobo and it give me some ideas but its light on detail and doesn't cover that many suburbs.

I've been in the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney and I vote for the Gold Coast. Melbourne's weather is far too unstable. Compared with London weather london feels beautifully...

Yes, this is a concern, particular as my wife is often mistaken for Asian. My kiwi friend (chinese background) now living here in London, has a cousin, a doctor, who had enough unpleasant experiences...

Truth is, either or. Gut feeling on this is both offer slightly different things, pros/cons.

More family support in NZ (folks and sister are in Dunedin)

I have OZ PR subject to living in the state of Victoria. For Sydney, this wouldn't be any use so I'd have to invoke my SCV me and the kids and my wife would have to apply for the spouse visa.

I was born in NZ, grandparent's on my Dad's side born in Scotland (migrated to NZ in the 50s I think), Mum grew up in Australia.

I agree. In one episode they had Dunedin (city), St Clair (coast) and Kaikorai Valley (country). I always knew these last two as suburbs of Dunedin. Both are about 5km, or 10 mins, from the city...
