Re: Police Officers who are planning to move out to Australia ?

Servibabe: I have a dog and a cat, if/when I go to Australia the cat will be re-housed here but the dog will be coming with us. I haven't had any exact quotes but I have been told about £750 for...

Re: Police Officers who are planning to move out to Australia ?

Sounds like a plan, at least it means I will be able to sus out where the venue is and how long it will take to get there.

Re: Police Officers who are planning to move out to Australia ?

I'm flying down in the late afternoon on Tuesday and will be staying near to Paddington Station. I would rather meet up with like individuals than stay in a hotel room and worry about the next day ...

Re: Police Officers who are planning to move out to Australia ?

There are two ways to look at this, either:

1. They are extremely disorganised, have not fully thought this through and have got no consideration for the applicants and the financial and...

Re: Police Officers who are planning to move out to Australia ?

Fot those who have been through the interview, what was the context of the question on diversity? I've been studying up on SAPOL, SA etc but I'm not too sure on what they could ask on diversity.

Re: Police Officers who are planning to move out to Australia ?

Do you think that would do any good whatsoever? I doubt it. Despite feeling a bit lower than I did this morning as a result of the recent events I am still hopeful that this is once again just a...

Re: Police Officers who are planning to move out to Australia ?

If Scott Oster found this thread I wonder what input he would have to the discussions?

Re: Police Officers who are planning to move out to Australia ?

Don't mean to be picky but are you not getting your $'s and £'s mixed up there, i.e. the car would cost about £7000 and if that's the case, less than half your starting salary.

The lack of real...

I had been training for the bleep test over what I thought was 20 metres and was getting worried as it was killing me. After a few weeks of doing that I found that it was in fact 25 metres I was...

Re: Police Officers who are planning to move out to Australia ?

Regarding the fitness test, I'm happy enough with the number of sit-ups and press-ups I have to do, however I'm not a good runner and find the bleep test torture, so not looking forward to that at...

Re: Police Officers who are planning to move out to Australia ?

Looks like the Ramada will be over £90 for the night I'm wanting, so looks like it will be the Boulevard. Jog to the cricket ground.......oh no I'll be conserving all my energy, I'm going to need...

Re: Police Officers who are planning to move out to Australia ?

Rippo, thanks for that, looks like the cheapest in the area. Any idea how far it is from Lords, i.e. can it be walked or will a taxi be required.

For anyone else in east central Scotland the BUPA hospital at Murrayfield will do the exercise ECG for £240. I'm booked in for Friday.

Re: Police Officers who are planning to move out to Australia ?

I unfortunately (or fortunately) just miss the 40+ age bracket for the fitness test, so I'm not really looking forward to it. I would hate to screw things up by being a couple of press-ups short.....
