I have always tried to be Mr Optimistic........the glass is always half full, etc, etc.

Why do I now feel that we don't even have a glass to see if it's half full or empty.

Some more maths.....

SAPOL have managed to recruit 150 'locals' by June and have bolstered this number by 60 from the UK.

If they manage the same local numbers, say another 150, it makes a...

From a number of reports attributable to Mr Alexander, Police Minister, SAPOL need 300 from natural attrition followed by the extra 200 the govt have promised.

210 now employed.........290 to find...

I understand from reading a number of threads that the Australian car 'rego' costs about $500 a year - all-in.

Physical/interview booked for this Wednesday......to tell you the truth...I don't really mind about the delay.......at least it is prolonging the dream of possibly getting to Oz.

I initially thought that the original sift was being completed prior to the exam - this...

The earlier posts seem to suggest we've probably got to wait for another week at least to hear the results..........the glass fluctuates between half full and half empty every ten minutes.

I spent a year over in Oz a while back and fell in love with Perth. Because the city is so remote....the locals have a perfect outlook on life...."lets...

I work for the Met and thats the stance they have taken......they will not wear you taking a career break....just in case it didn't work out.

Apparently you cannot take a career break as you HAVE to resign in order to join SA Police.

If you are not near 25 years service, I don't believe you will be able to touch your pension for a long...

Agree with you but lets hold on the vaseline for awhile.

A lot of discussions are taking place about leaving wives/girlfriends/partners at home to sell up whilst the other half does...
