nothing, it's free. If you end up on a site that wants money, then you've arrived at a scammers website. Apparently there are a few around.

I haven't read anywhere that it's required, only that it's to be come available to non-Filipinos soon.

However, as it's only valid for one year if you're not a Filipino, then it's another...

same as the US 2 flat pin - most adapters these days can cope with any country as they have multiple holes

same here (same office) - came here with the probationary and now awaiting the permanent via Manila -- 3 months to process apparently.

I found the staff at the Iloilo office super easy to deal...
