I left the UK sometime ago and as a self employed person over there, all I did was pay what tax I owed and let them know I was immigrating.
That was it. As for here, I still work as self employed...

What are you talking about? Where does it say I'm looking to move. Check the original thread about specialist sowing machines. It's all about whether there's some way they can be used in the UK.

As durham lad said most appliances will work, it's appliances like record turntables, analog clocks and any circuit timing devices that could be affected.

I had an HSBC account in the UK and when I landed in Canada I went straight to the HSBC bank here explaining I had an account with HSBC in the UK
and opened my bank account the same day....
