Re: Moving from UK

Hi Mark, depending on your Hungarian language skills...as far as I understand, you can apply for Hungarian citizenship, based on your marriage of 5+ years with a child (10 years without), even...

Re: Walking Trail Maps or Apps

Also, don't expect anywhere near as many footpaths as in the UK!

Re: Hungarian Citizenship

Just to mention for anyone's future reference (not directly relevant to your question) but I noticed it's not written on that link @pollypaprika,

Re: KATA

Hello again,
It depends on your situaton - for some it works better than for others. The thresholds are on turnover, not profit, which is a key difference between KATA and being self employed in...

Re: Accommodation/ Food regs

Re: Accommodation/ Food regs

Hi JB,
We set up our "Egyebi Szallashely" last summer. You have to register at the Onkormanzat. They need the following:

Re: Hungary-UK, man with a van or other suggestions

Not always. We have twice sent pallets from the UK to Hungary without issues; a taillift vehicle with pump truck at either end is all that's needed. Be aware though that some firms don't provide...
