I meant if I had a formal offer for NYC position then I would think in term move to London is odd but if need be kind of thing ok but with no formal offer then if I move to London position and NYC...

Your right they are a multi national and do this all the time. The reason I'm stressed is this is an odd request. I know 3 people who have done the move in the last 4 years none of them transferred...

I'm definitely leaning towards East Coast to be honest for the reasons you mention and others. I'll see what they offer and go from there as being able have a reasonable live style in either location...

We have thought and costed some college options. We already have a college fund for both Of them which would cover some of their preferred choices.
