I don't think we can complain about the tourist visa situation in the Philippines they are very relaxed about granting extensions. Try taking your LL on holiday to the UK, a very different story.

I use TransferWise as I find their rates are good and the fees are low. You can also setup a Peso account to purchase Peso's when the rate is good ready to transfer when you need them.

You still have to go to their offices with your paperwork and I think they do a biometric check. They won't question anything there as they just send the paperwork to some British Immigration...

With the tourist visa for the UK is it OK to stay longer than the dates you originally put on the application? Providing of course it's not longer than the 6 months the visa allows.
