Re: What to bring to biometric card appointment if your 5-year residency ended

Thank you. I have read post #4 but as I have been resident since 2016 - 6 years - I’m not understanding how it applies to me. I didn’t apply for permanent residency in after April 2021 (5 years)...

Re: What to bring to biometric card appointment if your 5-year residency ended

I have had my biometric appointment and the lady entered into the system that the start of my residency in Portugal was as written on my original CRUE, 2016. But now when I check my details on...

Re: UK driving licence exchange

If you previously registered your U.K. licence with IMT, and they took your photo/signature/fingerprints at that time, then you might not be called for an appointment, just automatically issued with...

I have just received my Pt/Eu vaccination digital certificate. It has validity until Feb 2022 but says it will be regularly renewed so suggested I request again in 30 days, and I think is suggesting...

Re: NHS COVID Vaccination Certificate ? Useful in Portugal ?

I wouldn’t rely on that. I think Graham got lucky. Strictly you should either have the NHS app to show your U.K. vaccination, or the paper copy certificate that you can request be posted to you,...

Re: Advice needed as I,m moving near Coimbra in January

Definitely different in the OP’s case. If married to a Pt national, he doesn’t need to prove language competence, and can apply for own citizenship so long as marriage is at least 3 years ago.

Re: Police certificate for naturalisation

This article is from 2017 but if things haven’t changed and if it is correct, you shouldn’t need to prove knowledge of language.

Re: Police certificate for naturalisation

Thank you, I will look into Glossika. I read the news in Portuguese online, and listen in the day to Antena 1 radio. I tend towards radio rather than tv because I end up reading the ‘legendas’ that...

Re: Police certificate for naturalisation

You’re married to a Pt citizen, aren’t you, Midgo? In which case, I believe you won’t need to prove language proficiency if you’ve been married at least 3 years.
The level required is National...

Re: Police certificate for naturalisation

As expected, to the point and then some added extras from you, Eu.flag. Thank you and understood. I think I knew that would be the case, anyway; as I said, it was a long shot.

Seconded - it certainly is; thank you. Does anyone know if it is possible to begin the application process for nationality through naturalisation before one has obtained the language competence...

Re: SEF entry requirement

You don’t need to do the Declaration of Entry form as you are flying in and therefore your entry is ‘declared’ as a matter of course by you passing through passport control. The Declaration of Entry...

Re: Isolation for U.K. arrivals

No, doesn’t apply to residents. Looks like the council lady helping me has found out it does apply to U.K. residents even up to 90 days, as she has come back to me with advice from the local SEF boss...

Re: Isolation for U.K. arrivals

I only heard about it on here recently. My understanding is it’s a Brexit thing - when the U.K. was in the EU British citizens didn’t have to do this, even if their passport wasn’t checked at a...

Re: Residency for Briton in Portugal
