Re: ECA - WES "Two or more degrees/diplomas"

I guess you will only know for sure once your ECA comes back. I was convinced I had 2 or more but it didn’t come back as expected. I also sent my A Levels (I guess equivalent to your BTEC).

Re: ECA - WES "Two or more degrees/diplomas"

I was caught out by this 'two degrees/diplomas' issue. I've got a Bachelors Degree and a Post Graduate Certificate, and my ECA came back as Bachelor Degree or equivalent. My understanding from going...

Re: Education Question

I didn’t realise that, no point chasing the 6 month one then.

I’m not sure about the 18 month one as it wasn’t offered full time - I’d have to check it out with the uni.

I’ll keep...

Re: Education Question

Thanks for that, I hadn’t thought of looking at a different agency, that’s a good idea.

I might just point the final photo out to WES to see if they can change the wording maybe?

The...

Re: Education Question

Thanks for the reply!

I finished them both, and the subject area for one is Education, and the other is International Education Management, so I think they’re academic.

My WES report says...

Education Question

Hi,

I’m currently in the EE pool with 420 points with my husband.

I thought my points may have been higher as I over-estimates my education!

I’ve been routing around the CIC website and...

Re: EE Points for Pilot Education

I'm glad that won't be an issue. I'm just anxious about getting it all correct.

Yes, I'm the principal applicant. We worked out how we'd get the most points and just made our decision that way.

Re: EE Points for Pilot Education

Suppose so, I guess someone could have studied aviation at university but flight training, especially the word ‘training’ seems really specific.

We we didn’t go through WES for his...

Re: EE Points for Pilot Education

Yes, we have debated this for months. The money is a bitter pill to swallow knowing we're still not 100% sure. But I think in visa terms, it's now or never. We're only going to lose points as we age,...

Re: EE Points for Pilot Education

It works out better if I apply as the principal applicant, where we score 454, so I fear that we are borderline at this stage.

I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything before I submit a...

Re: How do you decide to move to Canada?

Thanks for sharing this. I think this is one of the sticking points for us, as we will need to compromise things for sure. We need to decide if making these compromises will pay off by giving us a...

Re: How do you decide to move to Canada?

Thanks for the advice. From the research we've done, I think we could probably afford to buy a decent two bedroom condo for around $600k which would be our MAX budget, but it would be a sharp change...
