When we went for the same visa a couple of weeks ago they stamped the form "Approved", while we chatted, and filled in some dates. Our lady also wished us a wonderful time in the US and advised us...

I'm sorry, I don't know specifics, but when discussing a potential application our tax advisor recently mentioned that there are significant tax implications to surrendering green cards after 8yrs...

Quick update.
Turns out my finger prints aren't special... The machine just hadn't saved the picture of them at all! Apparently happens to maybe 1 in 10,000. I may have believed that, if I hadn't...
