That info maybe old. My wife is Canadian and she sponsored me with no income requirements. The old rules stated income was required for those taking the fiance route but that is not in effect anymore.

Yeah she may want to find something else. My wife's cousin works there and she says employee's there are only guaranteed there jobs until December I think.
